国际展览业协会(UFI)是世界博览业*代表性的协会,也是展览业界*全球化组织。被展览界公认为展览会走向世界的桥梁,经国际展览业协会认可的展会是高品质展览会的标志。国际展览业协会的前身为“国际博览会联盟”,2003年10月改为现名。该组织于1925年4月15日在意大利米兰成立,总部现设在法国巴黎。
国际展览业协会的宗旨是代表展览会、博览会组织者的利益,维护展览会、博览会的质量标准,规范展览组织者的市场行为。主要的职能包括:授予综合性和专业性贸易博览会以“国际”资格;采取一切必要措施协助会员在发展的世界经济中更加有效地开展活动;对国际贸易博览会所共同关心的问题开展国际范围的研究;代表会员参加相应的其他国际组织;保护会员利益,并为此采取一切必要措施使有关国家的政府当局注意并同意这一点;在互相尊重对方利益的基础上,通过有关会员之间的对话,尽可能地协调获本联盟认可的博览会的日程安排;根据有关方面的要求成立仲裁委员会,解决会员之间的纠纷;努力寻求并使用一切合适的方法加强国际博览会联盟的国际地位,并为此目的开展宣传和信息工作;为维护会员利益,对一切阻挠自由参加国际贸易博览会的不公平行为采取一切其他必要的行动;采取一切措施限制国际贸易博览会激增的趋势,即通过干预各国负责机构,使这些机构授予只有符合本章程第八条规定的贸易博览会和展览会国际资格;向贸易博览会组织者,尤其是发展*家的组织者提供技术帮助。经过八十年的发展,现已拥有256家会员组织,其中包括233家组展者、展馆业主和展览行业合作组织、42家展览协会。它们分布在五大洲71个国家的156个城市。

UFI represents 442 member organisations (composed of 227 Exhibition Organisers, 36 Hall Owner Managers, 120 Exhibition Organisers & Hall Owner Managers, 37 Associations and 22 Partners of the exhibition industry), present in 189 cities in 83 countries on the 5 continents.
UFI was founded in Milan, Italy, on 15 April 1925, by 20 leading European internatio
nal trade fairs, namely:Bordeaux, Brussels, Budapest,cologne, Danzig, Frankfurt/Main, Leipzig, Ljubljana, Lvov, Lyon, Milan, Nizhny Novgorod, Padua, Paris,Prague, Reichenberg, Utrecht, Valencia, Vienna and Zagreb.
UFI has bestowed its quality label upon over 782 trade fairs and exhibitions organised by its members.
As a privileged forum for dialogue, UFI's main goal is to represent its members and the exhibition industry worldwide.
